Xcontrol launches Guest Service Portal (GSP) for iPad/iTV/iPhones
Xcontrol’s GSP supplies cruise ships with back and front end systems to enable passengers to connect their personal iPads, iPhones and laptops to the in-room entertainment systems. News and information can be provided about onboard events.
Revenue can be generated through the booking of shore excursions, accessing internet content, booking of spa treatments and access to premium content like newspapers and magazines. In essence, now the passenger can access a wide range of multimedia content.
Exciting news about the ports-of-call to be visited, and other destinations are accessible to the passenger. Dining menus, tours and onboard programs are able to be communicated in an effective way to allow passengers to book value added orders. Many of these features are also played out on the cabin television.
